It’s been almost a year (three-hundred twenty-five days, but who’s counting?) since I married my best friend, since I never had to spend another day alone.
As my anniversary approaches, I’ve begun to look back at wedding photos. While I love our photos, and I know we made the best decision for us, I’ve been drooling over everyone else’s detail shots from their weddings. At the time, my engagement ring was, to quote my wonderful husband, “a stand in ring.” The first one he bought me was a piece of costume jewelry, with Swarovski crystals. I loved it.
However, it turned my fingers green, and I wore a ring we’d gotten our first trip to Charleston instead. The whole time we were engaged, Will reminded me that when we could afford it, he would get me the ring that he wanted to get me originally.
We were finally able to get the ring, and I love it so much that I decided to take some of the shots that we didn’t get at our wedding, simply because we didn’t have the ring we wanted. I'm glad that I kept a lot of the little details in a photo box, especially our dragon cards.
I am so excited to finally get these photos, as well as to get practice in some of these little details before the wonderful wedding I have coming up next month!
It’s been a wonderful year, and I can’t wait for the next one.
(Isn't this sparkler so wonderful?! I can't believe it's mine.)
