But Ruth said, “Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God.” -Ruth 1:16
By now, almost everyone knows that my husband and I are leaving the Augusta area. It is a wonderful adventure and a scary one all at the same time. For those of you who were not aware, Will and I will be moving to Douglasville in July, so my wonderfully amazing, talented husband can pursue his passion and teach French at a high school in Douglas County.
The decision to move was not an easy one, but it was one we looked to God for guidance on. We prayed about it non-stop from the moment we felt called to leave the Augusta area and the wonderful people we've known here. As it is, we promise that we will be back at least once a month--his family is still here, so we have a good reason to be back regularly!
While people have focused on how wonderful his new position is, everyone has taken the time to ask what I will be doing. DoubleStar Photography will be relocating to Douglasville officially over the summer, though I will likely be back for shoots here in the Augusta area occasionally, as the need arises. I also have a job lined up, working as a customer service representative for a company in Douglasville. We will both still be dancing, but we're taking a break from teaching it for the time being. It's time for us to really focus on us and our dancing.
My hopes for this company are still the same, even though it will be happening in a different city than I originally thought! We will still be expanding as planned, and rolling out some wonderful new things in the coming weeks and months! Thank you for following me on this journey and on the exciting new one ahead of us in Douglasville.
